Abstract

Science teaching has adapted to different purposes in order to meet the new demands arising in a constantly changing society. Thus, the objective of this article was to describe two stages of an Interdisciplinary Teaching Sequence that used the active methodology of Problematization, through the Maguerez Arc, to teach the theme “Water” to 6th grade students at an elementary school in Mato Grosso. This is an action research study with a qualitative approach, conducted in 2023. The stages of this pedagogical intervention include practical research, implementation of activities, interactive lectures with the support of digital technologies, lectures, reading, interpretation, and production of texts covering various writing styles. During the activities, there was an effective exchange and contextualization of ideas among the students. The problematization methodology, in conjunction with the Maguerez Arc, sought not only to transmit knowledge but also to develop students' ability to critically analyze reality and seek independent solutions. Therefore, this type of approach proved to be an enriching and efficient way to expand learning opportunities for students.
