ETNOGRAFÍA VIRTUAL DE UN POST DE REDDIT SOBRE LA ACELERACIÓN GRAVITACIONAL DEL MUNDO DE THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TEARS OF THE KINGDOM

Resumen

Este artículo es un estudio sobre la repercusión online de un post en un subreddit en el que se anali-za el cálculo de la aceleración de la gravedad en el mundo ficticio de Hyrule en el que se desarrolla la franquicia de juegos digitales The Legend of Zelda. Por lo tanto, seguimos las prácticas adecuadas para una etnografía virtual basada en los principios de la antropología digital, utilizando los discursos en el post original como fuentes. Con esto, buscamos analizar, a través de la filosofía del lenguaje del Círculo Bakhtin, los discursos materializados en artefactos culturales de una comunidad virtual que se originó a partir de algo fundamentalmente relacionado con la investigación en educación científica: enunciados sobre contenidos científicos como expresiones matemáticas. (como la relación entre la velocidad terminal y la densidad de un fluido) y variables físicas (como la longitud, la distancia y la velocidad). Finalmente, buscamos analizar específicamente qué tiene el potencial de involucrar a otros individuos a explorar la física (sus conceptos, fórmulas y teorías) de otros juegos digitales desde una perspectiva crítica pero creativa, que se ocupa del potencial educativo de las actividades lúdicas. Como resultado, destacamos cómo, para que un elemento discursivo científico de un juego digital tenga repercusión, no basta una jugabilidad atractiva, también se necesita un entorno favorable a los análisis críticos que vayan de la mano con las dimensiones lúdicas, científicas y educativas que el juego tiene el potencial de presentar.
