IMPACTOS ECONÔMICOS DA INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO DA RESISTÊNCIA ANTIMICROBIANA ZOONÓTICA EM ALIMENTOS DE ORIGEM ANIMAL: UMA ANÁLISE SOB A PERSPECTIVA ONE HEALTH

Resumo

A Resistência Antimicrobiana (RAM) representa um dos maiores desafios globais do século XXI, com impactos diretos na saúde humana, na saúde animal, no meio ambiente e na economia internacional. No sistema agroalimentar, a RAM de origem zoonótica, transmitida por microrganismos resistentes presentes nos produtos de origem animal (carnes, ovos, leite e mel), emerge como consequência histórica do uso intensivo e, por vezes, pouco regulado de antibióticos desde o século XX. Esse fenómeno ultrapassa fronteiras, afetando cadeias produtivas globalizadas, mercados exportadores e sistemas nacionais de inovação. Este artigo analisa a internacionalização da RAM e seus impactos econômicos nas cadeias de produtos de origem animal, integrando as abordagens do conceito One Health, inovação e políticas públicas. Em apoio teórico a essa análise, autores como Carlota Pérez (revoluções e sustentabilidade/crescimento verde), Mariana Mazzucato (Estado empreendedor) e Etzkowitz e Zhou (Tríplice Hélice), são utilizados para discutir como a crise da RAM se conecta à modernização produtiva, ao capitalismo global e aos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). São analisados dados de perdas econômicas associadas à RAM no Brasil e no mercado internacional, devido a urgência de uma governança regulatória em consonância ao conceito One Health.
